Demand for units on the rise nationally
|
As housing affordability becomes more challenging, more buyers are turning to units as a comparatively affordable way to enter sought-after markets. Nationally, unit prices have now outpaced house price growth, with search activity also pointing to rising buyer interest. Perth is part of that trend, with unit values in areas including South Perth, Cottesloe–Claremont and Belmont–Victoria Park recording notably stronger annual growth than houses. This article looks at what is driving the shift and why units could continue to attract greater demand if borrowing capacity comes under further pressure.

Should you buy or sell first?
|
It’s one of the oldest property dilemmas, but the right answer is not always as obvious as it seems. Whether it makes sense to buy your next home before selling your current one depends on far more than the market alone, with your financial position, mortgage, life stage and appetite for risk all playing a part. This article looks at the pros and cons for different types of buyers and explains why the best strategy may be quite different from what you initially expect.

Property investor activity begins to shift post-budget
|
Investor activity has eased since the Federal Budget, but the change is not simply a case of investors leaving the market. New lending data shows fewer investor loans overall, while borrowing for newly built homes has increased, suggesting some demand is shifting away from established properties and towards new housing. This article looks at what may be driving the change, how closely it aligns with the Government’s policy objectives and why the longer-term impact on housing supply will be important to watch.

Seller of house in Cockburn Central, WA
"Wow what a team are Shelley and Mark!
They did a fantastic job of preparing our house in Ridge Road, Jandakot for sale in record time. We had total faith in all their advice during this time. This is the second house in the last eighteen months that we have entrusted them to sell and we would not go with anyone else.
Many, many thanks".
