Record all of this in a map of your area, this will inform your design. Create zones when you are creating your garden layout and place things you use often or tend daily closest to your house. Once you have your garden design, follow the WASPA (water, access, structures, plants, animals) acronym when building your garden. A good permaculture garden design will pump out food all year round with minimal effort to maintain.
