Feeling the winter blues? Needing some soul-comforting food? These food and drinks from around the world will sure warm you and your family up on those cold nights.
Mulled wine is a common sight across Europe. It’s red wine with spices and fruit. While the ingredients do vary in each country, they are all hot, spicy and sweet - with the added benefit of fending off a cold.

Finally a common sight is “cooking as you eat” dishes. Known as Shabu Shabu in Japan and Hotpot/Steamboat in China, this popular dish has been adapted in many forms across Asia. Cheese fondues or raclettes are common in Switzerland and France. Patrons fill up with melted cheese on side dishes such as potatoes, bread and meat.
